December 21, 2012 is right around the corner! Why should you care?

You may care because December 21, 2012 is reported to be the end of the Mayan calendar. This may mean one of many things to you. It may mean that we are on the cusp of a new age, a new paradigm of human understanding. It may mean that we are on the edge of the destruction of the world as we know it. It could also mean nothing whatsoever, it is just another day.

I have been talking to a friend, and they do not think that it will be just another day…

So we have talked, and it turns out that my friend has researched many different topics and they think that all these topics are all related. However, they did not yet line up the correlations properly. It seems like a mishmash of different data that may have associations but they may not.

I have to admit, I am habitually a skeptic. I cannot see how this will come to a single conclusion.

I am also a rather complex individual. I have read all sorts of books on world mythology. I have read bookshelves worth of books that were fantasy and sci-fi stories. I have played role-playing games, both table top and live action! In short I am no stranger to the fantastic, the seemingly unreal or myth.

Some of my closest friends call me a ‘Weirdness Magnet’. I feel that one of the reasons I attract weirdness is because until I have conclusive proof I will treat it as possible. I won’t necessarily say it is plausible, but I will treat it as possible.

So this blog post will be the start of what I plan to be a thorough investigation of all topics that may be related to what may or may not happen a year to a year and a half from now. I really have absolutely no idea what I am going to turn up, but if those who find this site are open minded I will do my best to entertain and educate you on all of the myth and/or truth regarding December 21, 2012; what some consider to be the end of the world.

I will start by listing all the topics that I have written down that my friend said that I should investigate. This list is far from complete, but it is an excellent start. In no particular order, I am going to investigate…
